Agreement Between Draft Evaluator (Peer Reviewer) and Central Eurasian Studies Workgroup

Central Eurasian Studies Workgroup (CESWG) is grateful to the most honorable draft evaluator for the generous gift of spending time to evaluate the draft sent by CESWG.

The draft evaluator agrees to evaluate the draft solely on the basis of facts and logic.

The draft evaluator agrees to keep all the materials received from CESWG confidential. Prior to the publication of the draft, the draft evaluator shall not use any information or idea from these materials in the draft evaluator’s own published material or material for publication. 

The draft evaluator agrees to remain anonymous to the public and other private individuals.

CESWG shall not publish the draft as an academic work if the majority of the evaluators determines, based on facts and logic, that overall, the draft does not qualify as a contribution to the draft’s academic field. CESWG shall relay to the draft’s contributor the evaluator’s suggested revisions and other comments, and request the contributor to duly consider them. However, in the spirit of free discourse, the contributor shall have final decision as to how to treat such suggested revisions and other comments, as the contributor should be permitted to bear the ultimate merits and demerits of the work before the public and the academic community.
